Because of the broad applicability of molecular biotechnology, the operation of core teaching / laboratory facilities is a strategic and efficient mechanism for educating students of all levels, plus faculty and staff, with an interdisciplinary focus. Over 400 students enroll each year in a wide range of BIT courses on cutting edge areas in the life sciences. The Biotechnology Program is a member of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Office of University Interdisciplinary Programs.
